A big first for Dembélé!

Six days after scoring his 5th goal for the French national team (in 42 appearances) in their historic 14-0 win over Gibraltar, Ousmane Dembélé was back in action with PSG! Six days after scoring his 5th goal for the French national team (in 42 appearances) in their historic 14-0 win over Gibraltar, Ousmane Dembélé was back in action with PSG! The 26-year-old right-winger finally opened his goalscoring account for the Rouge et Bleu, in his 16th match with the French outfit, when they played AS Monaco on Friday evening.

Percutant since the start of the season, but clumsy or lacking in success (he hit the bar against AC Milan at San Siro), Dembouz once again delighted the Parc des Princes crowd with a number of technical gestures, winning the 2-1 penalty converted by Kylian Mbappé before half-time (39th). Midway through the second half, Dembélé took off after a superb control, before scoring through Philipp Köhn (70th). Just before giving up his place!

The 2018 world champion, recruited for 50 million euros last summer, had not scored for his club since the January 25, during Barça’s quarter-final win over Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey. In La Liga, the ambidextrous dribbler had just scored the winning goal for Atlético in Madrid.
