Dugarry gives Mbappé a straight talking-to

Miraculous yet frustrated, PSG were clearly not satisfied with their draw with Newcastle on Tuesday evening, in a crucial group match with a view to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League. After the match, Kylian Mbappé himself made no secret of his annoyance. It’s frustrating because we dominated this team from start to finish. They had nothing, and we knew it was their game to have nothing… Words that didn’t go unnoticed.

This Wednesday evening on RMC, Christophe Dugarry, without wishing to condemn the captain of Les Bleus by his own admission, nonetheless emphasized the fact that the French team’s performance was very poor.

It’s out of touch

Overall, the former striker believes that PSG players often lack humility. There’s something I don’t like about PSG, and it’s something that’s been fairly recurrent since QSI took over: every time things haven’t gone well, I’ve seen attitudes from players that have bothered me. I’m not talking about Kylian Mbappé, I’m talking about Kimpembe, Marquinhos, Neymar… Every time things didn’t go well, PSG players spoiled the match through their attitudes or statements.

And fromt off the mark. It’s also in line with his nerves on the pitch. I find that he raises his arms a lot, and that affects his performance. Even if he sometimes manages to save his matches with goals, I think he misses far too many things for a player of his talent.
