Marc Desclaux passed away this week at the age of 74, following a long illness. The death of the former referee was announced this week by the French Rugby Federation, which mourns one of its servants.

A three-quarter with the Garlin club (Pyrénées-Orientales), Marc Desclaux ended his playing career at the age of 30, recalls La Dépêche, to switch to refereeing. In 1994, he officiated the French championship final between Toulouse and ASM. Now an international whistle, of the great names in Béarn refereeing. The entire Match Officials Department joins me in offering our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
