Good news for Fabien Galthié and the French national team

He’s back! Although he had asked his club for the right to take a break after the World Cup, in order to regain his physical and mental health, Gregory Alldritt is back on the rugby pitch, and even sooner than expected. Instead of returning to action in 2024, the international third row will be available for La Rochelle’s Top 14 clash with Toulouse on Saturday evening.

According to his team-mates, Alldritt is in top form. There’s no (physical) concern about his return, he can get back into a team six months later. If he’s regenerated? Yes, you can tell. He even has theimportant details at our meetings. He’s always able to move forward in moments of panic, and I have the impression that he always makes the right choices, explains Gurthrö Steenkamp, scrum coach at La Rochelle, to RMC. I think he’s someone who prepares his matches well, he’s exemplary. Even in training, when there’s garbage, he finds the right words and pulls everyone together. He’s not even 30, but you get the impression that he’s been playing at the very highest level for ten years.
