Almost 12 years of loyal service and Hugo Lloris is about to turn the page on Tottenham, barred this season by Italian keeper Guglielmo Vicario and not used once by new Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou. Los Angeles FC, the outgoing MLS runners-up, have already reached agreement with the Tottenham board on a transfer at little or no cost. All that remains to be settled between the former France captain and the American franchise are the contractual details. I’m sure we’ll have news in the next few days, said the Spurs coach on Friday.

A contract soon concluded

Italian mercato journalist Fabrizio Romano assures us that LAFC is convinced that Hugo Lloris’ contract will be bisoon concluded. There is every reason to believe that the record-holder in blue caps (145) will soon discover the fourth club of his career, having not played an official match since last April. In California, he’ll be joined by one hell of a bodyguard in Giorgio Chiellini. Former Saint-Etienne striker Denis Bouanga has also flourished here.
