OM, a coup de théâtre before the African Cup of Nations!

This is one of the Ligue 1 teams most affected by the African Cup of Nations. From January 13 onwards, no fewer than eight OM players will be taking part in the competition in Côte d’Ivoire. Senegalese players Ismaila Sarr, Iliman Ndiaye and Pape Gueye; Moroccans Amine Harit and Azzedine Ounahi; Congolese Chancel Mbemba and Cameroonians Simon Ngapandouetnbu and François-Régis Mughe.

However, one of these eight is said to have decided not to play for his country, in order to devote himself to his club. According to Cameroonian media outlet La Tanière 237, François-Régis Mughe is set to reject Rigobert Song, through representatives in direct contact with Samuel Eto o, President of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot).

Only 14 minutes under Gattuso

Short of attacking players due to the exile of many African internationals, Gennaro Gattuso is said to have convinced the 19-year-old winger to stay in Marseille and join his club.I’m looking forward to learning the ropes and getting some playing time. Under Marcelino at the start of the season, Mughe took part in six matches, including two as a starter. Since the former Milan executive took over on September 27, he has played just 14 minutes against Rennes on December 3.
