Born in Alsace, François Bracci is nonetheless a true child of Marseille, having grown up playing soccer with AS Sainte-Marguerite and US Rouet before joining OM at the age of 16. I’ve only had one goal in life, one obsession: to wear the OM jersey, he breathed during his lifetime, as relayed by L’Equipe. Having become an emblematic figure of the Phocaean club over the course of his career, the man who was still coaching in Algeria a few years ago passed away on Thursday, at the age of 72, after a long illness.
