Is Carlo Ancelotti still interested in PSG, one of his former clubs? The Red and Blues may have lost superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar, but the team now led by Luis Enrique is much stronger collectively, and the Champions League defeat by Newcastle (4-1) does not symbolize the new face of the team.

When asked about the favourites for the LDC title (by Gazzetta di Parma), the Real Madrid coach mentioned his Merengues, Barcelona (despite their lacklustre form this season) and the two superpowers, Manchester City and Bayern, but not PSG.

Originally from Emilia-Romagna and trained in Parma as a player, the 64-year-old coach was back in his home region on Wednesday to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Parma.
