PSG qualify for the World Cup!

In case you missed it, Gianni Infantino’s Fifa has officially scheduled its first-ever 32-team Club World Cup for June and July 2025 in the USA, one year ahead of the North American World Cup. No fewer than 12 European teams will compete against the best teams from the other continents, with Champions League results over the period 2020-2024 being taken into account.

In case you missed it, Gianni Infantino’s Fifa has officially scheduled its first-ever 32-team Club World Cup for June and July 2025 in the USA, one year ahead of the North American World Cup. No fewer than 12 European teams will compete against the best teams from the other continents, with Champions League results over the period 2020-2024 being taken into account.

The 12 European clubs will be announced on December 1.The other European contenders are Borussia Dortmund, FC Porto, Barcelona (who still have to do better than AtlĂ©tico), Juventus (who are not playing in the LDC this season, but are ahead of Napoli) and Benfica (who are benefiting from Ajax’s non-participation in the C1 and Salzburg’s elimination).
