Behind the scenes, however, Lyon’s directors are continuing to prospect for the coach who will eventually take over from Fabio Grosso on the Gones bench.

Since the ousting of the Italian coach, two names have come to the fore: Bruno Genesio and Jorge Sampaoli. The former OL coach seemed to have the upper hand at one point, with the support of the players, whoand 2022, because he felt that OM lacked ambition, even though they had just finished second in the league behind PSG. He could now be back in charge of the red lantern. In the meantime, Sampaoli spent a few months at Sevilla and then Flamengo, without much success. Will he be the right man for the job at OL?
