Florian Thauvin is no happier in Serie A with Udinese and is aiming for a return to France. According to Foot Mercato, the 30-year-old French international has made a comeback in Ligue 1 his priority in the coming weeks, during the winter mercato period. Having already tried to return to his native country when he was playing in Mexico, the former Olympique de Marseille player seems to have a few more contacts and openings in France this time around.

Having made 17 appearances (11 starts) for Udine this season, without particularly shining, Thauvin is not expected to make any further appearances. Aside from the Bundesliga, a league in which he has never played, as opposed to the Premier League and Serie A, he has also made contact with French clubs. Their identities have not yet been revealed, but we can imagine that teams in search of attacking reinforcements to regain a ranking a little more worthy of their status will be looking to repatriate Flotov, scorer of 88 goals in all competitions with Marseille.

10th-placed Stade Rennais, where his friend Steve Mandanda plays, or 15th-placed Olympique Lyonnais, whose new sporting director David Friio was until recently an employee of the club.
