UEFA index: France’s big coup

The week for France’s clubs got off to a bad start. PSG lost to AC Milan and RC Lens to PSV Eindhoven. A setback that was all the more unfortunate given that France and the Netherlands are battling for fifth place in the UEFA index, which now allows four representatives in the Champions League.

And on the strength of their results, France have almost caught up with the Netherlands. The gap is now just 0.003 units, and France should take that all-important fifth place in the next round of matches. That is, if the French clubs continue their fine campaign.
